CCUD Convened UK-China Smart Cities Projects Exchange Event

In the morning of February 26th, 2016，CCUD hosted the second event of the Matching and Exchange Event Series, UK-China Smart Cities Projects Exchange Event. This event was co-hosted by International Cooperation of CCUD and Smart City Development Alliance, and it was specially supported by British Embassy. The representatives from the Manchester were invited to discuss with the representatives of Chinese cities and enterprises on the topic of building smart cities through cooperation.

As the representative of the host, Qiu Aijun, Deputy Director General of CCUD gave a welcome address and an introduction of CCUD, especially the area of the international cooperation as well as the smart cities. Steve Turner, Head of Future Cities of Manchester City Council and Jonny Sadler, Program Director of Manchester Climate Change Agency introduced the experience and practice cases of Manchester’s smart city development, and they also expressed their willingness to cooperate with Chinese stakeholders in related fields and projects. The representatives of Xiamen City and Benxi City respectively introduced the smart city development in their cities and they had great enthusiasm to cooperate with UK.

The representatives from Chinese enterprises respectively introduced their projects and products of smart city. These representatives are from E-Hualu Information Technology Co Ltd. (Beijing), Digital China Holdings Limited, iSoftStone Holdings Limited (Beijing), China Jin Mao Group Co, Ltd., Beijing Tellhow Intelligent Engineering Co., Ltd and Liaoning Smart Landscape City Science and Technology Development CO., Ltd.

The representatives of invited cities and enterprises in China and British exchanged their experience in the smart city development and exhibited related cases. At the same time, through heated discussion and accurate matching, the cooperation of the cities and enterprises from our two countries has been promoted.
